My Story: Genia Taub
Hello, I'm Genia Taub, a certified Integrative Health Coach, Yoga Teacher, and Natural Food and Healing Chef. Alongside my loving husband and three wonderful boys, I am dedicated to sharing kitchen wisdom and empowering others to live a vibrant and healthy lifestyle from the inside out.
I always gravitated to natural ways the body can heal. I also had this innate feeling that a spiritual life had an effect on our physical body as well.
My journey into holistic health began with a personal struggle with eczema during my youth. The creams and steroids the doctors prescribed were temporary solutions - my skin rashes always returned. I was in highschool when my father brought home a book for me - ‘Maimonides Principles For A Healthy Lifestyle’ - ancient wisdom that caught my attention - (I still have that book right by my bedside). The content of the book is similar if not the same as the teachings from Ayurveda (oldest healing science in existence) and Hippocrates (one of the most respected figures in the history of medicine). I was smitten! Inspired by these insights, I embarked on a quest to heal naturally through dietary and lifestyle changes.
Continuing my exploration, I pursued Judaic studies in New York and trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute under esteemed mentors Michel Abehsera and the founder of Natural Gourmet - Ann Marie Colbin. Here I learned all about foods for healing and modifying recipes to make them healthier. Guided by Joshua Rosenthal, founder of IIN, I embraced the healing power of Macrobiotics and transformed my relationship with food. My food became my savior. My rashes disappeared. I cleaned myself from the inside out. My journey has culminated in the publication of a cookbook and the embodiment of a yogi in the kitchen.
I love teaching others how to cook whole, healthy and balanced meals and introduce ingredients that will spice up any dish with great taste and medicinal benefits.
As a person with multiple passions, I found myself immersed in a whirlwind of activities – teaching art and fitness classes, conducting cooking demos, and exploring the world while whipping up delicious meals for my loved ones. However, this relentless pace took its toll, and in 2014, I found myself grappling with Adrenal Fatigue. This pivotal moment propelled me into a profound healing journey, where Kundalini yoga became my anchor, guiding me back to strength and vitality.
Yet, despite this healing, I sensed a void in my life, a longing for deeper spirituality, community, and knowledge. And so, my journey continued, with renewed zeal for spiritual practices, deeper connections within my community, and a commitment to further study and certification in Integrative Health. Through the 'De-stress Protocol,' I invite you to explore the holistic principles that have been instrumental in my healing journey, offering guidance for those seeking to cultivate a balanced and vibrant life.
In 2017, amidst this pursuit of wholeness, a routine check-up uncovered a tumor on my left ovary, presenting yet another unexpected twist in my journey. Undeterred, I faced this challenge head-on, delving deeper into self-discovery and listening intently to the whispers of my body. With gratitude and perseverance, I navigated the complexities of healing, continuously refining my lifestyle and strengthening my resilience.
I love to inspire others to incorporate yoga, a mind, body and soulful practice,
in their daily life.
Every moment, every day, I am filled with gratitude and a sense of purpose. I greet each new day with anticipation for the adventures it may bring, living fully in the present moment and expressing gratitude at every turn. As a perpetual student of life, I am constantly expanding my understanding of the body, mind, and soul, driven by a passion to give back and support others on their own journeys. My family, friends, and community bring me immeasurable joy, and I cherish the simplicity of life's blessings. This, above all, is my WHY – to be a beacon of support and inspiration for others as they navigate their own paths to wellness and fulfillment.
